HTC has been a busy bunny of late. Not only is it rumoured to be behind the upcoming Pixel X and Pixel XL, it’s also tipped to be unveiling two new HTC Desire smartphones: the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and HTC Desire 10 Pro. We round up the HTC Desire 10 rumours, including the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle/Pro UK release date, price and specifications. Plus: Is there an HTC Desire 10 live stream? Also see: Best smartphones 2016.

Most of the leaks concerning the HTC Desire 10 have come straight from @evLeaks on his Twitter page and also via Venturebeat.com. Of all the internet tipsters he’s the one we trust the most, so although what we discuss here is merely rumours and speculation we wouldn’t expect it to be far from the truth.

HTC Desire 10 UK release date: When is the HTC Desire 10 coming out? Is there an HTC Desire 10 live stream?

HTC Desire 10 release date: 20 September 2016

HTC has confirmed that it reveal a new phone at 8am BST on 20 September 2016 with the tagline #BeEdgier. It is on this date that it will allegedly unveil the HTC Desire 10 Pro and HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, and it is this date that is shown on their screens in leaked pictures. The two new HTC phones will likely go on sale toward the end of September.

To our knowledge HTC is not holding a live stream for the Desire 10, and as with its HTC 10 we suspect it will simply reveal all at 8am tomorrow. Come back tomorrow morning for full details on the new HTC phone.

HTC Desire 10 UK price: How much will the HTC Desire 10 cost?

The HTC Desire 10 is thought to be a cheaper version of the flagship HTC 10, with a plastic rather than metal build. No exact pricing has been suggested, but according to HTC ROM developer @LlabTooFeR the Lifestyle will cost between $150 and $200.

That appears to be backed up by a teaser video circulated by HTC itself, which simply states '150'.

HTC Desire 10 specifications: What to expect from HTC Desire 10

While there are set to be two upcoming HTC Desire 10 handsets, only details of the Lifestyle model have leaked. We expect the Pro to look similar in design (the Lifestyle is pictured below in white and in black with gold trim at the top of this article), but with slightly higher specs. It might have a higher-resolution screen and more storage, for example.

The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is rumoured to feature a 5.5in HD (1280x720) screen and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 graphics, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage or 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Also see: Best Android phones 2016.

This theory is mostly backed up by AnTuTu database evidence that purports to show the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, although the phone in this test has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The primary camera is tipped to be rated at 13Mp with a dual-tone flash and Laser autofocus, with a second 5Mp selfie cam at the front. Also on the rear looks to be a fingerprint scanner. Both features are teased in HTC promo videos:

Audio, as is typical for HTC handsets, should impress. We expect to see front-facing BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers and 24-bit audio, plus a decent set of earbuds in the box.

The new Desire 10 smartphones will run Android Marshmallow with HTC Sense overlaid.
