Nigeria: U-17 Football Team Names Final Squad
Head Coach Bala Nikyu has announced a final squad for the 5th FIFA U17 Women's World Cup, which starts next week in Jordan.
Prolific captain Rasheedat Ajibade, an attacking midfielder with so much flair and who is also the team's leading scorer, tops the list of 21 that also includes Cynthia Aku, Patience Dike, Peace Efih and Folashade Ijamilusi.
Nigeria face Brazil on October 1, before matches against Korea DPR and England on 4th and 8th October respectively in the group phase.
The delegation of players and official led by coach Bala Nikyu will depart Nigeria aboard an Emirates Airline flight from Abuja on Monday night.
The Flamingoes, quarter -finalists at the last three editions of the championship (Trinidad and Tobago 2010, Azerbaijan 2012 and Costa Rica 2014), pounded Namibia and South Africa home and away to qualify for the World Cup.
