We’ve rounded up the best places to buy the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the UK, the best Note 7 UK price and the cheapest Galaxy Note 7 contracts in the UK.

Update 2 September 2016: The Note 7 should have gone on sale today, but Samsung has had to stop sales and offer to replace handsets that are already with customers following an issue being found with its battery cells.

According to an official statement from Samsung, "there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note 7." A company statement on the Samsung Korea site appears to suggest this delay will push back the on sale date by a couple of weeks.

Samsung UK has offered the following information: "For UK customers who already have Galaxy Note 7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks. For more information customers need to contact the customer service team on 0330 7261000."

If you’re here you’ll be wondering where the best place to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is. In the UK you will be able to pre-order the Note 7 from Tuesday 16 August. If you order before Tuesday 30 August, you’ll get it on that day. Otherwise, the Note 7 launches nationwide on Friday 2 September.

Selected retailers will also bundle the new Galaxy Gear VR headset with pre-orders. All the below deals include the headset if you pre-order now.

EE stocks the Note 7, but at present claims you can expect delivery within 28 days. Because of the risk of faulty units, we would still recommend holding off until Samsung and its UK resellers fully confirm that the units are safe. 

O2

O2 is offering the Note 7 for £9.99 upfront and £50 per month with 1GB data and ulimited minutes and texts. Click here to view the deal. 

Vodafone

Buying the Galaxy Note 7 direct from Vodafone at the moment is good value for money. It's offering the 64GB Note 7 with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 12GB data with a £20 upfront cost for £62 per month on a 24 month contract with a free Gear VR headset.
